99 Words About … the holiday roulette of ‘A Christmas Story’

Other channels are trying to steal its thunder.

Starting at noon Tuesday, you can see round-the-clock marathons of “Elf” (Starz), “Bad Santa” (Starz Comedy) and “Arthur Christmas” (Starz Family).

But there’s still nothing like “24 Hours of ‘A Christmas Story’” (8 p.m. Tuesday, TBS).

Celebrating its 17th annual installment, and the movie’s 30th anniversary, the event is made for sampling.

It’s like holiday roulette. Have a few spare minutes? Tune in, and there’s no telling what you’ll land on.

Randy’s coat. Flick’s tongue. “Fra-gee-lay.” The deranged Easter Bunny. Scut Farkus. “Ooohhh fuuuudddggge.”

Each a perfect slice of holiday nostalgia.
