99 Words About … The rebirth of ‘Community’

It was the most publicized showrunner change in TV history.

Largely because, until roughly a decade ago, the general public never realized a single person ran their favorite shows.

Now, though, after a year in exile, creator Dan Harmon makes his triumphant return to “Community” (8 p.m. Thursday, KSNV-TV, Channel 3).

Much like a car that’s been sitting idle for more than a year, the comedy takes a while to get up to speed.

But it’s evident from the start, in the way insanity erupts out of nowhere, that things at Greendale once again will be cool, cool, cool.
