Express yourself on the Freedom Wall at First Friday
First Friday in the 18b Arts District downtown is slated to run from 6 to 11 p.m. The event is set to feature a 40-by-6-foot Freedom Wall at Casino Center and Charleston boulevards, where people can express themselves on a blank canvas. The Kids Zone, near Casino Center Boulevard and Colorado Avenue, is expected to include live entertainment, a dance competition, a petting zoo and more. The event is also scheduled to be streamed live through Evinar on the First Friday Facebook page, facebook.com/firstfridaylasvegas.

The Brett Wesley Gallery, 1112 S. Casino Center Blvd., plans to showcase "True Stories" by Nathan Douglas, "Soar" by Luis Varela-Rico and "Our Digital Selves" by Danny Roberts.
The Funkhouse, 1228 S. Casino Center Blvd., is set to premiere "Epic Ink," featuring linocuts by Carrie Bourdeau.
Dave Barnes' "Past Times" is set to debut at the Trifecta Gallery inside The Arts Factory, 107 E. Charleston Blvd.
A group "Dog & Cat" show to benefit the Nevada SPCA and Adopt A Rescue Pet is slated to premiere at the Jenny Valdez Inc. gallery inside The Arts Factory, 107 E. Charleston Blvd. Patrons are encouraged to bring pet food donations. Visit jennyvaldez.com.
The City of the World, 1229 S. Casino Center Blvd., plans to showcase "Annexation" in its main gallery.
Stephen Hendee's "The Pinpoint Remains" is scheduled to be on display in the Rotunda Gallery at the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.
The 303 North Studio inside The Arts Factory, 107 E. Charleston Blvd., plans to present "Stellar: The Women of Science Fiction," featuring works by Jska Priebe.
"New Works" by Steve Diet Goedde is scheduled to be on display at the Sin City Gallery inside The Arts Factory, 107 E. Charleston Blvd.
