Toast the New Year in song at the Smith Center

A starry lineup of stage and screen talents will toast the New Year in song — early, at 7 p.m. Dec. 31 — at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

The host: Erich Bergen (TV's "Madame Secretary"), who starred in the "Jersey Boys" movie — and, before that, the Las Vegas production of the Tony-winning musical.

Joining Bergen to perform favorites from Broadway and beyond: "Pippin" Tony-winner Patina Miller; Tony nominee Norm Lewis of TV's "Scandal" (Broadway's first African-American "Phantom of the Opera"); "Newsies' " Capathia Jenkins; and resident Smith Center headliner Clint Holmes.

Tickets ($39-$125) are now on sale at the Smith Center box office, 361 Symphony Park Ave., by phone (702-749-2000) or online (www.TheSmithCenter.com). For preferred seating and group rates, call 702-749-2348.
