Young musicians are guest performers

"Orquesta Futura," the final concert of this season's Classic Touch Concert series, will be presented at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Clark County Library Theater, 1401 E. Flamingo Road, by the Nevada Chamber Symphony.

Admission is free, but reservations are suggested by calling 433-9280.

With the help of local music teachers and orchestra directors, a select group of young musicians will join the orchestra for a special segment celebrating the orchestra of the future.

Guest artists include the Swainston Middle School String Quintet performing music written by local composers Carson Rothrock and Lara Turello, first place winners in this year's Bolognini Scholarship Competition in the senior voice category.

The program also will include the "Indian Dance" from "American Suite" by Charles Wakefield Cadman, Aaron Copland's "Hoe-Down" and the Minuetto in B Major by Giovanni Bolzoni.
