Breathe Carolina ramps up electronics for fourth album

Turning dance floors into mosh pits and mosh pits into dance floors seems to be the sweat-saturated aim of Breathe Carolina, a band that merges metalcore and EDM in a way that’s decidedly more Warped Tour than Electric Daisy Carnival.

Leavening turgid, churning riffs and growling Rottweiler vocals with anthemic, trance-worthy synth lines, propulsive beats and big, bright choruses, the band’s repertoire is alternately bouncy and bruising.

Next month, Breathe Carolina releases its fourth album, “Savages,” which members have said is their most electronic-oriented record and whose title will most likely register as a very literal assessment of the sounds contained therein.
