FORMER UNLV STAR KOSEWICZ FOUND DEAD

SPARKS -- Former UNLV basketball player Cheryl Kosewicz, a former special prosecutor in the Clark County DA's office, is dead. Reno's KOLO-TV reported Sunday that Kosewicz, 35, was found dead in her home from an apparent suicide on Friday.

Her boyfriend recently shot himself to death at her home two months ago.

Days before her death, she wrote on her MySpace page that she was "lost" and "doesn't help" knowing her participation on CBS' "Pirate Master" was "such a contention" between her and her boyfriend.

She played on UNLV's Big West Conference title team that won an NCAA bid in 1991. She served as a radio analyst for the UNLV women's team from 1993-96.
