HEFNER ‘EXPLORING’ FATHERHOOD FOR FIFTH TIME

Playboy icon Hugh Hefner, who turns 82 this week, says he's planning to be a daddy for the fifth time.

Hefner confirmed to Vegas Confidential in a weekend interview that he and Holly Madison, his girlfriend of 6 1/2 years, are working on it. Asked about recent reports that they were sighted at a fertility center, Hefner said, "That's not happened, but we are exploring it."

In a weekend of bizarre developments that included a naked Pamela Anderson surprising Hefner during his birthday celebration in Las Vegas. Madison, 28, told Vegas Confidential that she and fellow "Girl Next Door" Bridget Marquardt attempted to get a marriage license in Clark County a week ago "because we were bored. We would have done it. It would have been fun."

They were in town for a bachelorette party at the Palms and decided to get married on a lark. But the stunt fell through, she said.

Anderson, a 12-time Playboy cover girl, commemorated Hef's birthday with a dance in the buff late Saturday in the Hugh Hefner Sky VIlla at the Palms Fantasy Tower. Their dance was filmed by E! Entertainment to go in an episode of "The Girls Next Door."

Hefner has four children from two marriages, ranging in age from 55-year-old Christie, Playboy chairwoman and CEO, to Cooper, who will be 17 in September. Hefner's oldest son, David, is 52 and Marston turns 18 on Wednesday, the day Hef turns 82.

He had his last two children with former Playboy Playmate of the Year Kimberley Conrad. They were married in 1989 and have yet to divorce.

Madison began dating Hefner in 2001. She is the No. 1 girl in "The Girls Next Door" and works as photo editor for Playboy studios.
