WYNN SHOOTING NEW AD ATOP ENCORE THURSDAY

Steve Wynn has recruited Hollywood director Brett Ratner to film a commercial TV spot of Wynn standing atop the 638-foot Encore, which opens in December.

Ratner will serve as director of the shoot, which is scheduled for Thursday afternoon. A low-flying helicoptor will hover over the new tower and Wynn Las Vegas resort.

A media release from the Wynn advises there may be temporary disruptions to both pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the area for 15-20 minute intervals at a time. Also, there will be limited access into and out of both properties and on Las Vegas Boulevard in front of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore.

Ratner's films include the "Rush Hour" series and "X Men: The Last Stand."
