Deli-sliced Krakus ham available

This week brings good news and bad news on Krakus hams, being sought by John MacMillan and Helen Panegasser: Yes, the deli-sliced Krakus is available in Las Vegas. No, the canned hams don't appear to be. John Bisci Jr., Delores Sullins, Marlene Peters, Barbara Jo Pfeffer, Judy Kackley, Jeff Wheeler, Connie Benton, Raymond Moreton and Lois Kupec all said the sliced-to-order ham is available in the deli section of various Albertsons stores. ...
And speaking of ham: For Carol Roden, who's looking for rosemary ham, Shelly Brink and Val Fischer e-mailed that Trader Joe's, which has four stores in the valley, carries it; Kim Hudson said she found it at Fresh & Easy; Natalie Tantleff found the Boar's Head brand at Sunflower Farmer's Market (which is at 3365 E. Tropicana Ave. and 4020 S. Rainbow Blvd.) and at some Smith's stores; Darryl Grimm of the Whole Foods Market at 6689 Las Vegas Blvd. South e-mailed that the Fra Mani brand is available in his store's specialty department (there are three other Whole Foods Markets in the valley); and Chris Jenson of Village Meat & Wine, 5025 S. Eastern Ave., said he carries Boar's Head as well. ...

For Donna Dahlberg, Jennifer Brown e-mailed that Einstein Bros. Bagels sells bagel dogs, and added that she has seen frozen ones in the freezer section at Wal-Mart stores. Stuart Krug said they can be found at some Vons stores -- the large ones in the service-deli section and the small ones in the kosher frozen-food case. And Debi Teplitz e-mailed that the small ones are available on the Vienna Beef Web site, www.viennabeef.com (or call 800-366-3647), where they're listed under hot dogs. ...
