Fans of the Reuben weigh in

Gilbert Stouvenot asked fellow readers to suggest places that serve good Reuben sandwiches. And wow, did they ever.

Karen L. Finn recommended the snack deli in the bowling center at Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd.; Mary T. Byrne, Diane Smart and Laura Crowton favor the Reuben on marble rye at the Bagel Cafe, 301 N. Buffalo Drive; Pam Raser likes those made by "Lee" at the Turf Grill at Green Valley Ranch, 2300 Paseo Verde Parkway in Henderson (and notes that he's off Wednesday and Thursday nights); and Sharon Bateman and Cathy Nelson recommend Jason's Deli, which has multiple locations in the valley.

Also, Bryan Hanisko recommends Canter's Deli at Treasure Island, 3300 Las Vegas Blvd. South, (which property rep Michelle Knoll said recently was featured by the Cooking Channel); C. McGilton, Mike Denley and Michelle Bonelli praise the open-faced version served at Weiss Deli & Bakery, 2744 N. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson; Bonelli also likes the melt on marble rye served at Cugino's, 4550 S. Maryland Parkway; Margo Erickson loves the double-decker one served at the Rampart Casino, 221 N. Rampart Blvd.; Lisa Voss and her parents favor the one served in the coffee shop at the Eastside Cannery, 5255 Boulder Highway; and Tony Glorioso likes the one served in the Courtyard coffee shop at The Orleans, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave. ...

For Anita Johnson, who's looking for hot-cross buns, Claudia Robinson recommended those at Panera Bread, which has several locations in the valley, while Marie Villareale suggested Great Buns Bakery at 3270 E. Tropicana Ave., Pat Roberts likes those at Albertsons and LaMonte Woods said Dainty Cakes Bakery, 2708 N. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson, will carry them and take special orders. ...

For Marinus Baadsgaard, who's looking for frozen bacon-wrapped scallops, Judy Nelson emailed that Target carries their Archer Farms brand. ...
