Great Buns back to fill void

Here's some good news for Ruth Steffen, other readers looking for fresh-baked hamburger and hot-dog buns and anyone looking for fresh baked goods on the east side of the valley: John Bisci Sr. e-mailed that Great Buns Bakery, which burned a few years ago, has reopened at 3270 E. Tropicana Ave.

Bisci's note was preceded a few days by an announcement from the Madonias, who own Great Buns, noting that the three-generation family-owned bakery rebuilt its 25,000-square-foot facility. The phone number is 898-0311. The west-side location at 8320 W. Sahara Ave. remains open. ...
