Liver lovers weigh in

There are, clearly, lots of liver lovers in the valley. They have several recommendations for Carole Bixler, who is looking for restaurants that serve it -- and the key words seem to be "coffee shop."

Carol Epstein likes the $7.99 dinner ("you can't cook it for that price") in the Grand Cafe at Palace Station at 2411 W. Sahara Ave.; Libby Casolari recommended the Grand Cafe at Red Rock Resort at 11011 W. Charleston Blvd.; and Brenda Hyatt recommended Marilyn's Cafe at the Tuscany at 255 E. Flamingo Road.

More suggestions come from Mamie Glorioso, who recommended the Sourdough Cafe at Arizona Charlie's Decatur at 740 S. Decatur Blvd.; Ruth Jagodzinski picks Blueberry Hill Restaurants (which have numerous locations in the valley); Peggy Toth likes Los Prados Golf Club at 5150 Los Prados Circle (off Lone Mountain Road); and Paul Kimmel votes for Postrio at The Venetian at 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. South. ...

For E.L. Miller, Jennie Cicala reported finding Wonka Exceptional Bars at Walmart at 6005 S. Eastern Ave.; Phil Means found them at Albertsons at 5881 E. Charleston Blvd.; and Colleen Sams at Albertsons at 2650 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson. ...

For Eugene Koppenhaver, who is looking for Swanson canned chicken a la king, Conrad Kollross and Sams found it at Albertsons. ...

For Ray Favero, who is looking for SB Curry Powder, Sams spotted it at Albertsons at 2650 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson. ...

And for Kay Burke, Sams said she saw Hershey's cinnamon chips at the same Albertsons. ...

More on beignets: Sherry Lombardi recommended those at Paradise Boba Tea & Smoothie at 1910 Village Center Drive. ...
