Open Pit barbecue sauce -- so beloved of Midwesterners -- is tough to find in Las Vegas, especially since a longtime reliable source, Smart & Final, stopped stocking it. But fellow readers have scoped out sources for Marsha Mekan.

First, Chris Wilson faxed that the Smart & Final at 10050 S. Eastern Ave. in Henderson still has it. Also: Kathy Miller e-mailed that she found it at Glazier's Food Marketplace at 8525 W. Warm Springs Road and Larry's Great Western Meats at 420 S. Valley View Blvd., Tina Johnson reported finding it at Dollar Tree at 3665 S. Rainbow Blvd. and sometimes at 99 Cents Only stores, Claudia Wolt reported finding it at Walmart and Paula Cook orders from Hard To Find Grocer at www. CrossroadsMarket.com. ...
