In regard to coffee-flavored syrup -- being sought by reader Martha Flynn -- it seems there are a couple of schools of thought.

Tish Little recommended the fresh or frozen laulau and pasteles, made to order, from Taste of 808 Catering, which can be reached at 586-0899.
