Eagles add more dates to Sphere residency in Las Vegas

The Eagles are in it for the long run.

The legendary rockers, who issued an album of that title 45 years ago, have added four more dates to their series at the Sphere,.

The extended run makes it 16 dates over eight weekends for the best-selling American rock band ever.

The new dates run Dec. 6-7 and Dec. 13-14. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Pacific time July 12. An advance presale registration is available now at eagles.com, with the presale beginning at 10 a.m. on July 11.

Tickets start at $175 under all-in pricing policies. The ticket price listed is inclusive of taxes and fees. Ticketmaster has been issuing Verified Resale tickets from $400-$5,700 for the Nov. 9 show, the original final show in first announced series.

“The Eagles: Live In Concert At The Sphere” opens Sept. 20-21. Today’s Eagles’ roster is Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with more recent members Vince Gill and Deacon Frey. A guitarist and vocalist, Deacon Frey is the son of original band member Glenn Frey.

The band follows U2, Phish and Dead & Company as rock bands to headline the Sphere. Zac Brown has also announced his own band’s residency, so look for Zac Brown Band in ‘25.

No Sir Paul

There are no plans for Paul McCartney to attend the final performance of “Love” at the Mirage on July 6, says Cirque du Soliel PR exec Ann Paladie. This topic came up during an interview with Giles Martin this week, for an upcoming column. Martin, the (re)mastermind of the show’s music, will be on hand for the sendoff.

Ringo Starr is celebrating his 85th birthday in L.A. on July 7, and is not planning to be at the send-off. No word on any of John Lennon’s family (Yoko Ono, Sean Ono Lennon and Julian Lennon all attended the opening in June 2006 and also the fifth anniversary in 2011). Olivia Harrison, widow of George Harrison, has seen the show multiple times, including last Thursday and Friday, and will be there.

Triple-shot for The Underground at The Mob Museum. It’s Colte Julian and The Sidecars on Friday, The Ramblers on Saturday and Laura Shaffer and the Noir Nightingale Quartet on Sunday. Shows run 8 p.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays, 7 p.m.-11 p.m. Sundays, no cover, just take the stairs to a different place and time. You’ll like it.
