April 26, 2015 - 7:15 am
A Las Vegas restaurant is offering a $1,000, five-course dinner special that includes the closed-circuit broadcast of the megafight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.
In anticipation of a crush of fight fans swarming the MGM Grand, the host hotel’s Crush restaurant is planning the “ultimate VIP experience.”
Partner and celebrity bartender John O’Donnell said fight fans will have their choice of a 28-ounce ribeye steak or a 16-ounce Maine lobster tail, plus all-you-can-drink high-end California wine and open bar.
Crush will be curtained off and closed to the public from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Tap Sports Bar at the MGM Grand is also closing to the public for a closed-circuit viewing special that includes food and drink. It is for hotel guests only and it is already sold out. VIP seating went for $475.
Only MGM Resorts properties are showing the closed-circuit broadcast.
