‘Cats and Dogs’ kicking off free Family Film Festival

If you're looking for something free to do with your kids this summer besides parking them in front of the television, you're in luck.
Now, you can park them in front of a movie screen.
Rave Cinemas at Town Square, 6587 Las Vegas Blvd. South, launches its Family Film Festival at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday with "Cats and Dogs" (PG), the live-action comedy about a secret, high-tech war between the rival animals.
The rest of the screenings, all of which begin at 10 a.m. and are rated PG, are as follows:
■ The animated adventure "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole," July 3-4.
■ "Yogi Bear," with the voices of Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake, July 10-11.
■ The penguin tale "Happy Feet Two," featuring the voices of Elijah Wood and Robin Williams, July 17-18.
■ "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," starring Dwayne Johnson and "The Hunger Games' " Josh Hutcherson, July 24-25.
■ "Dolphin Tale," starring Harry Connick Jr. and Ashley Judd in a story about a dolphin missing its tail, July 31-Aug. 1.
■ "Shorts," a comedy about a wish-granting rock, Aug. 7-8.
■ "Inkheart," an adventure starring Brendan Fraser as a father who can bring storybook characters to life, Aug. 14-15.
■ And the animated "Happy Feet," which introduced the world to tap-dancing penguins, Aug. 21-22.
