Basia bringing jazz to Ovation

The Sade concert was expensive and took place in a crowded arena on the Strip on Labor Day weekend. So if you missed it for any of those reasons, there's still time to see Basia, who was often confused with Sade on smooth-jazz radio but actually has a more varied sound.

The Polish singer visits Ovation at Green Valley Ranch today on the heels of a new album with a long title: "From Newport to London: Greatest Hits Live ... and More," the "More" being three studio tracks.

She sings at 8 p.m. today at 2300 Paseo Verde Parkway, Henderson. Tickets are $26-$48; call 547-5300.
