Cherri Bomb set to go off at House of Blues

They take their name from a book, "Cherry Bomb," about being a badass chick that takes it name from a song by some badass chicks.

L.A. teen rockers Cherri Bomb will forever be linked with some storied L.A. teen rockers who came before them, The Runaways, though mostly for superficial reasons.

The all-girl band, who range in age from 14 to 17, possess the same 'tude, gender and punky precociousness as that infamous '70s group that launched the careers of Joan Jett and Lita Ford, but their sound is both more metallic and polished.

Cherri Bomb's first full-length record, "This is the End of Control," released in May, is a punchy, infectious debut perfumed with the scent of teen spirit.
