Danzig rocking House of Blues

What do Elvis, Jim Morrison, Satan, Roy Orbison and the arch villain in any given Marvel comic book have in common? Nothing, really, but Glenn Danzig channels them all in his equally bluesy and blasphemous jams.

To the horror of parental units and the delight of their black-clad brood, the burly Danzig frontman has made a career out of connecting the dots between punk, metal and industrial with a consistently well-crafted catalog heavy as a guillotine blade. Danzig's latest, "Deth Red Sabaoth," is far more effective than its spelling suggests.

See the band at 6:30 p.m. today in the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $37.50; call 632-7600.
