Erasure playing The Pearl

Andy Bell is 47 and still rocks the hot pants. The singer also has been belting out danceable synth pop with Erasure partner Vince Clarke since 1985.

The duo has enjoyed more enduring popularity in Europe than stateside, where oldies such as "Always" and "Chains of Love" still sustain their legacy. But today's show at the Palms paves the way for a new album, "Tomorrow's World," due Tuesday. The first single is "When I Start (to Break It Down)."

The duo play at 9 p.m. today at The Pearl at the Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo Road. Tickets are $35-$65; call 944-3200.
