Feel the wrath of Howl at Area 702

Their latest disc is titled "Full of Hell," and that's exactly what it sounds like: 100-ton riffs heavier than a mountain of lead, angry yeti vocals, dense, smoked-out jams that practically sweat venom.

Providence, R.I.'s Howl come with hard-grooving, earth-rumbling man metal that's the rock 'n' roll equivalent of a beefy lumberjack swinging his ax at your skinny neck. Not sold yet? Did we mention that they have a tune called "Horns of Steel"?

Get gored at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Area 702, 3040 Simmons St. Tickets are $15; call 870-7588.
