Get familiar with alt-rockers Biffy Clyro

Scottish alt-rockers Biffy Clyro are almost as big in the U.K. as soccer riots and room temperature beer. They're still building their fan base on these shores however, playing clubs and touring in support of the Foo Fighters, who they seemingly take a few cues from with their melodic, hard charging, populist rock 'n' roll. See the band at 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas, 3771 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 day of show; call 733-7625.
