GravelRoad playing free show

They've toured as the backing band for blues badass T-Model Ford and cut a record with the ol' cuss, which means Seattle's GravelRoad knows the Mississippi Delta sound like T-Model knows the inside of a jail cell. And they hit the stage even harder than they hit the bottle, chasing the ghosts of those backwoods juke joints where this music was born.

See them at 9 p.m. today at the Las Vegas Country Saloon, 425 Fremont St. The show is free; call 382-3531.
