Immolation playing Cheyenne Saloon

Immolation is like the Budweiser of death metal: No frills here, just a good, solid American tradition. The band is technically accomplished, but they don't jam their tunes full of 1,001 riffs, as their repertoire is equally catchy and concussive. They've been doing it for years, and to this day, few do it better. See Immolation at 6 p.m. today at the Cheyenne Saloon, 3103 N. Rancho Drive. Tickets are $10; call 645-4139.
