New Year’s shows starring Wonder, Drake, Seger on sale

It's time to start planning your New Year's Eve weekend.

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band get an early start with a Dec. 30 concert in the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Tickets are $86.15 and $138.45 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at the arena box office and Ticketmaster outlets.

Stevie Wonder plays the big night at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, with a New Year's eve show in The Chelsea ballroom. General admission tickets are $250 and include complimentary cocktails. They go on sale at 10 a.m. today through the hotel's website, www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com, and Ticketmaster outlets. Ticket-and-room packages also are available.

The Commodores also "Celebrate" at the Eastside Cannery on Dec. 31. Tickets are $64.95, $74.95 and $84.95 and go on sale at 10 a.m. today at the casino box office, 5255 Boulder Highway.

Hip-hop and matinee idol Drake gets the new year off to the right start with a Jan. 1 show at the Hard Rock Hotel. Tickets are $95.50 and $101 and go on sale at noon today at the hotel box office, 4455 Paradise Road, and Ticketmaster outlets.

Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes bring their podcast, "Jay and Silent Bob Get Old," back to the Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas on Nov. 4. Tickets are $37.50 in advance, $42.50 at the door and are available at the venue box office, 3771 Las Vegas Blvd. South, or ticketweb.com. Smith teams with Ralph Garman on Nov. 5 for another podcast, "Hollywood Babble-On." Tickets are the same prices and at the same outlets.

Greensky Bluegrass plays some "newgrass" at the Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas on Nov. 6, with Oakhurst opening. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door and are available at the venue box office or ticketweb.com.
