Outdoor dance party rocking downtown

Punks and metalheads have dominated the turf up until now, but this weekend, the open air lot at Sixth and Fremont streets will become the province of those who prefer to dance without throwing elbows.

Located across from the El Cortez, the space has hosted various Punk Rock Bowling and Rock the Block events in the past, and on Saturday will feature Freq the Block, a massive outdoor dance party.

Headliners include five time DMC World DJ Champion DJ Craze, electro pugilist AC Slater, dubstep heavy Flinch and Vegas favorites Mike Attack and Teen Wolf, who will perform amidst retina watering video walls art installation pieces.
