Rancid hitting House of Blues

Their tunes are as colorful as their tattooed knuckles and necks. The dudes in Rancid are punk-rock lifers to be sure, but their curled-lip snarl is leavened by plenty of reggae and ska flourishes, meaning hips and fists get swung in equal measure.

See Rancid at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $27 in advance, $29 day of show; call 632-7600.
