Static-X set to get heavy at Hard Rock
August 24, 2012 - 1:02 am
Leavening the turgid industrial metal blitzkrieg of Ministry with a more danceable groove and songs about pooping in bags earned Static-X a platinum record in the late '90s.
Since then, they've gotten progressively heavier and further removed from their initial lineup (only frontman-founder Wayne Static remains).
Static released a solo album last year, which seemed kind of counterintuitive, as he pretty much is and always has been Static-X, and it wasn't as if the material on said disc strayed too far from the hooky electro metal of his full-time project.
Nevertheless, Static is now back with Static-X, reuniting with, well, himself, pretty much.
