New looks at ‘Fear the Walking Dead,’ ‘Heroes Reborn’ — VIDEO

One’s a pop culture phenomenon.

The other was — about a decade ago.

Both “The Walking Dead” and “Heroes” released new looks at their spinoffs on Thursday with mixed results.

The new spot for “Fear The Walking Dead” shows Kim Dickens dismissing a teenager’s fears about the pending zombie apocalypse amid reports of weirdness and killings in five states with a simple, “You need to spend less time online.”

While it’s a vast improvement over the first teaser, which just showed some anonymous dude running in slow motion while struggling to pull up his pants, it still isn’t much to go on.

So little is being revealed about the new show, debuting in August on AMC, that it’s starting to feel suspicious. Maybe it’s just AMC’s marketing style, but these spots are sending out vibes that there just isn’t all that much to “Fear the Walking Dead.”

The “Heroes Reborn” trailer, meanwhile, actually should generate some buzz, as it shows a world in chaos and offers a look at some of the new cast members — including “Chuck’s” Zachary Levi — as well as a few familiar faces.

“Heroes Reborn” debuts Sept. 22 on NBC.
