M Resort pool party budget-friendly with free admission, daybeds, beer

If you want to hang by the pool without spending a fortune, the M Resort has just the thing.

From 7 to 11 p.m. Saturdays, the resort will host M Pool Live, an evening pool party featuring live music, food, swimming, gaming and more. And it won't cost the thousands of dollars that a pool party on the Strip often runs.

Admission is free, says Jason Dougan, vice president of hotel operations for the hotel. Daybeds are free, first come first served, and even the beer is free for an hour.

"We have done concert series in the past, and we're always trying to cater to the locals," Dougan says. "We thought putting something on like this that's free would fill a (need)."

From 7 to 8 p.m., Miller Lite will be free. After that, the beer will be two for the price of one.

Dougan promises a summer filled with cool bands such as Wesquave and Rockstar Karaoke, a band that is scheduled to perform Saturday night. Guests can even fulfill their own rock star fantasy by jumping onstage and singing with the band, Dougan says.

Cabanas are also available and specially priced starting at $90. Bottle service starts at $65.
