Music, as they say, is the gift that keeps giving, and Carlos Santana is bringing this sentiment to life in Las Vegas.
Next week, the guitar great is slated to make his way back to House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, where he'll resume his An Intimate Evening with Santana residency. Before he does that, however, he has another important stop to make first and check off on his itinerary.
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, the fret master will be on hand at Opportunity Village to set up the folks up over there with some instruments, including acoustic guitars and percussion pieces, donated by Hermes Music for the non-profit's performing arts program.
After making his charitable donation at Opportunity Village, the legendary axeman will be back at House of Blues for his special showcase, which is scheduled to resume the following evening on Wednesday, Sept. 16, with dates the following two weekends, Friday, Sept. 18 through Sunday, Sept. 20, and Friday, Sept. 25 through Sunday, Sept. 27.
After that portion of the residency concludes, Santana will return just before the holidays for a series of dates, on Wednesday, Nov. 4, followed by appearances on Friday, Nov. 6 through Sunday, Nov. 8 and Friday, Nov. 13 through Sunday, Nov. 15. Tickets for the shows, which range from $89.50 through $170, are on sale now through Live Nation.
