Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler reunite for classic ‘SNL’ skit

LOS ANGELES — It really happened, “Saturday Night Live” aficionados!

The dream duo of Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler reunited on Wednesday’s “Late Night” to revive their signature “Weekend Update” segment, “Really!?!”

The issue under scrutiny was a tweet from Sports Illustrated contributor Andy Benoit that said “women’s sports in general [are] not worth watching.”

“Really? Really? Really, Andy Benoit? There’s nothing in women’s sports worth watching?” Poehler kicked off the bit.

Anyone who’s watched Serena Williams would beg to differ, Poehler insisted. “I guess I’m not surprised that you work for Sports Illustrated,” she said. “You guys put out a Swimsuit Issue every year dedicated entirely to women who aren’t in sports. Unless you think it’s a sport to cover both boobs with one arm. Really?”

Meyers had another target in mind. “If you want to attack someone for playing soccer, how about children?” Meyers asked. “Now that is boring.”
