Celine set to resume Las Vegas shows

Celine Dion is back in fighting form.

"When I'm onstage, it feels like I'm in a ring," she told "The Today Show" this week. "I feel like I'm a fighter."

And like a fighter, she had to undergo a period of recovery after her voice blew out with a viral infection of the vocal chords last February, causing her to cancel an entire spring run of shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The Canadian superstar was cleared to sing again last April. And if all goes to plan, the curtain goes up again (or in this case, falls and is swooshed away) at the Colosseum on Saturday. Shows will continue on select days through Aug. 19, a schedule that coincides with the summer vacation of her 11-year-old son, Rene-Charles.

At some point, you can expect Dion's versatile showcase to make room for the new single "Didn't Know Love." It was penned by Francis "Eg" White, who co-wrote Adele's first single, "Chasing Pavements," and Florence + The Machine's "What the Water Gave Me."
