Feel insulted with Don Rickles at The Orleans
Sorry Tony Bennett. You and Don Rickles are both 86, but he got a year's head start on you in Las Vegas and so still holds the lead for the longest still-working Las Vegas performer, at 53 years.
Also sorry, Tony Bennett, about those Italian jokes.
Rickles hasn't changed his stripes since "The Merchant of Venom" started working three sets a night - the last at
4:15 a.m. - at the Sahara.
"They had a plank, and I used to cross over onto the bar and work on this tiny little stage," he once recalled.
The Orleans will not make him walk the plank Saturday and Sunday.
