Hasselhoff, new girlfriend now; ‘crazy Hoff stuff’ in November

I called the irrepressible David Hasselhoff to ask about his plans for Saturday. That's when he takes his new girlfriend (a Welsh factory worker) to Encore Beach Club then club Blush for his birthday party.

"I'm shopping in Madrid for my girlfriend for this massive party we're throwing at Blush," he said. "Wow, she looks great. I should just send you this picture right now."

He met Hayley Roberts while judging "Britain's Got Talent."

"She's a beautiful person and not Hollywood," he said.

His favorite thing someone asked Roberts was, "What did you play on 'Baywatch?' "

"When that happened, I said, 'Ohhh, baby, you're the one for me!' " he said and laughed.

"She's just real," he said seriously. His daughters "love her."

He's hoping to introduce her to Caesars vocalist Matt Goss. Roberts was "in love with" Goss when she was 9 and 10, when Goss became famous in England.

"Maybe we can get up and sing together!" Hoff said of Goss.

Hoff returns Nov. 18-20 to headline at The Orleans. He's been arranging an "intimate" show of music, outtakes from "Knight Rider" and "Baywatch," plus "crazy Hoff stuff."

"We have monks come out chanting, 'Hawwwff, Hawwwf.' "

A few years ago, he co-starred in "The Producers" at Paris. He'd love to have a regular Vegas gig again.

"That's actually my plan, man."

Meanwhile, Sunday on the CBS reality show "Same Name," he swaps places with a Texas guy named David Hasselhoff. He played an ex-porn star on FX's "Sons of Anarchy."

He's been touring universities in Europe, where students "come dressed up as David Hasselhoff and carry ('Baywatch') rescue cans," he says.

"Life is good," he said. "Come play!"

Hoff swears he's bringing his "Baywatch" red swim trunks.

BEST LOVE SONG EVER?

Tony Bennett sings Sunday at the Palms. I asked him to name the song that inspires him the most emotionally. The "haunting" and "evocative" "All The Things You Are" makes him feel "tremendous love," he responded by email.

"Every great musician that I ever met, both classical and jazz artists, always say that is their favorite song."

It's "the greatest love song ever written," he says. (It was penned by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein.)

"It is impossible not to hear the lines, 'You are the promised kiss of springtime,' or 'You are the breathless hush of evening' and fall instantly in love."
