Kathy Griffin performing stand-up at Mirage

Between "My Life on the D-List" and a new chapter of Bravo life simply called "Kathy" comes a brief landing in Las Vegas.

Kathy Griffin seems to live her "Truman Show"-ish life almost in two places: the Bravo cable network and the live stage. So you can see her at The Mirage on Saturday as she gears up for the April 19 debut of her new weekly talk show.

Griffin's stand-up act already plays like a long-form version of a talk-show monologue. Topical, pop culture jokes aren't just the top of a live set, they are the live set.

"The whole celebrity culture has blown up in a way so that I can barely keep up with it myself," Griffin noted a couple of years ago.

"I really feel strongly that if you've doled out money to come see me live, you shouldn't see me just redo my TV special. I'll certainly hit some of those topics, but you will see all new material."
