Las Vegas for Less: Free shows, glam rock, dance lesson, open mic

Singer Sean Wheeler (Throw Rag) and multiinstrumentalist Zander Schloss (Circle Jerks, The Weirdos, Joe Strummer) are best known for their time in raucous punk and rock bands, but performing together, they take the edge off with rootsy, gospel-tinged folk. James Hunter

Soulful Brit singer-songerwriter James Hunter earned a Grammy nod for his 2006 disc "People Gonna Talk." He's played big rooms opening for the likes of Boz Scaggs, Aretha Franklin and Los Lonely Boys, and now you can see him in a more intimate setting at 10 p.m. and midnight Tuesday through Thursday at Book & Stage at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Glam rock
