Look up at Rio and see show in ‘sky’

Celebrate Mardi Gras every weekend with the colorful Masquerade Show in the Sky at the Rio, 3700 W. Flamingo Road.

The free production, which includes a parade of lighted floats that travel along a track hung from the ceiling and live performers on a two-story stage in the Rio casino, is choreographed by brothers Kevin and Marcel Wilson. Three different productions are presented each night and the shows feature Latin, pop and burlesque numbers.

Masquerade Show in the Sky is presented hourly from 6 to 11 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. Guests also can get into costume for a fee of $12.95 and become a part of the celebration by riding in the floats.

Guests can watch from the ground level of the casino or from the second floor balcony in front of the shops and restaurants. Each show runs about 10 minutes.
