Palminteri takes ‘Bronx Tale’ to larger theater

"A Bronx Tale" has proven to be inspirational in Las Vegas beyond the average folks who pay to see it.

Fellow actor Robert Davi said his friend Chazz Palminteri's autobiographical drama was a guidepost in putting together his Frank Sinatra tribute, which recently played The Venetian.

And now, it turns out that after Mike Tyson watched the opening night of Palminteri's one-man, long-form monologue at The Venetian in October 2009, he started thinking about using the format to tell his own life story -- an idea that is set to come to fruition in April.

Palminteri moves "A Bronx Tale" to a larger theater at The Mirage this time, but hopefully the drama will still hold its intimacy and gripping theatricality.

The actor becomes a gamut of characters, from his 9-year-old surrogate self to the neighborhood crime boss who takes the youngster under his wing, setting off a philosophical tug of war with his poor but honest father.
