Six Picks: Our experts pick their favorites for the week

Ray Romano

Nobody has a better 10 minutes worth of Vegas gambling jokes than Ray Romano, who dusts them off every time he's in town. But Romano also stays current, finding material in his domestic life and the aftermath of fame. He does his stand-up at 10 p.m. today and Saturday at The Mirage, 3400 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $63.93-$85.93; call 792-7777.

Mike Watt

In the liner notes to his latest disc, "Hyphenated-Man," Mike Watt thanks but one person: Dutch painter Hieronymous Bosch. It makes sense, in more ways than one, as both are mercurial figures fond of fantastic imagery, the latter of which is alive on "Hyphenated-Man," where Watt's surrealist lyrics are as uninhibited as his wild-eyed bass lines and elastic voice. See Mike Watt + the Missingmen at 9 p.m. Saturday at Vinyl at the Hard Rock, 4455 Paradise Road. Tickets are $15; call 693-5583.

'Skyfall'

Just when you thought "Skyfall" couldn't get any bigger, the 23rd entry in the James Bond franchise is being released a day early on extra-large, premium-format screens. See it at 12:07 (get it?) a.m. Thursday on the IMAX screens at the Palms, Red Rock Resort and Aliante and Sunset Stations as well as the XD screen at the South Point.

Florence Henderson

Everybody knows Florence Henderson as "The Brady Bunch's" ultimate sitcom mom, Carol Brady. But there's a lot more to the story - especially when it comes to Henderson's previous life onstage in everything from "Oklahoma" to "The Sound of Music." Join her stroll down memory lane in "Florence Henderson: All The Lives of Me ... A Musical Journey" - a benefit for AFAN (Aid for AIDS of Nevada). The show goes on at 8 p.m. Thursday in Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center, 361 Symphony Park Ave. For tickets ($35-$75), call 749-2000 or click on www.thesmithcenter.com.

Dia de Muertos

Here's a post-Halloween celebration that should be more interesting than scary: Dia de Muertos - the Mexican holiday the Day of the Dead - will be celebrated from 4 to 9 p.m. today and Saturday at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd. The celebration will include Mexican food, sugar-skull decorating, face-painting, altar demonstrations, live entertainment and more. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for kids 5-12 and free for kids 4 and younger.

Nervo twins

The classically trained musical twins Liv and Mim Nervo perform Sunday at Wynn's XS nightclub. The Aussies are among the nicest DJ-producers to fans at shows. They also have mad skills - having composed their own fun hits ("We're All No One"), collaborated hits with others ("The Way We See The World" with Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike), and co-written hits for friends ("When Love Takes Over" for David Guetta and Kelly Rowland).
