The Toasters

Film fest

The 11th annual Las Vegas Jewish Film Festival calls it a wrap this weekend with the award-winning Israeli drama "Intimate Grammar" (7 p.m. Saturday), the documentary "Love Etc." (1 p.m. Sunday) and, bringing it all back home, the documentary "Jews in Nevada" (4 p.m. Sunday). All screenings take place at the Adelson Educational Campus, 9700 West Hillpointe Road. Year of the Dragon

Have you walked your dragon today? Relax, they'll do it for you at the "Chinese New Year -- Dragon in the Desert" festival, which continues through Saturday at the Fremont Street Experience. Ringing in the Year of the Dragon, the celebration commences at 6 p.m. today and Saturday, featuring a "live dragon," a vendor village with Asian food and crafts, entertainment and a virtual dragon on the big-screen Viva Vision. If they breathe fire, try not to get scorched.

Beer and music

Winter's something to celebrate at Big Dog's, which will be serving up pozole and more than 35 beers during its second annual Winterfest Beer & Music Festival beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday at Big Dog's Brewing Co. and Draft House at 4543 N. Rancho Drive. Admission is free, beer tokens are $1, and a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society of the United States.

Sander van Doorn

Sander van Doorn headlines tonight at Marquee nightclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The Dutch house DJ-producer spins straight-up dance vibes, but he's also adroit at writing happy, short pop hits. His latest is the catchy "Love is Darkness" (featuring the Poe-sounding Carol Lee on vocals).
