Strip Tips: Memorial Day specials, more
This week, celebrate Memorial Day on the Strip with some food and drink specials. Also, check out your favorite MMA fighters and even an octagon girl.
Military discount
Blue Man Group at The Venetian is saluting our nation's troops by offering special ticket prices to U.S. active duty military personnel. Tickets in the red zone seating will be $79 while blue zone seating costs $89, inclusive of taxes and fees. You must present valid military ID at the box office when picking up your tickets. You can buy them online at blueman.com with the code "BMGMILITARY" or by calling the box office, 800-258-3626. The price is subject to change without notice.
Forbes Friday
Tonight, Tabu at MGM Grand kicks off Forbes Friday, a weekly party featuring DJ Forbes spinning everything from hip-hop to rock. Cover charge still applies but there will be giveaways and drink specials throughout the night. Doors open at 10 p.m. For more information, call 891-7129.
Happy hour
Trevi at the Forum Shops in Caesars Palace is offering a new happy hour called Trevi Time.
From 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday through Friday drink specials include $3 bellinis, $4 bottled beers, $6 wines by the glass and martinis. There also will be several small plates offered for $6 each. Choose from tomato bruschetta, fresh stuffed mushrooms, fried calamari, Romano chicken sliders, homemade meatballs and mini cheese stuffed burgers. The Trevi Time happy hour is offered in the bar only.
Drink specials
Party like it's Memorial Day weekend at Tacos & Tequila in the Luxor. Get two-for-one Bloody Maria's and half-price refills on daiquiris at the restaurant's mariachi brunch Saturday and Sunday. Also, $10 Dos Equis beer mugs, full of beer, will be available. They plan to run drink specials through Monday.
Art show
Oh My Godard Gallery at Miracle Mile Shops will host a Michael Godard Art show from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Michael Godard will be at the store to meet fans and sign autographs.
MMA signings
UFC fans, get out and meet your favorite MMA stars. Tonight, UFC octagon girl Arianny Celeste will visit the Las Vegas Fight Shop in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood from 7 to 9 p.m. She'll be signing autographs. Buy a poster for $10 and you will get the chance to access a VIP line. Saturday, fighters Chael Sonnen and Chad Mendes will sign autographs and meet fans from noon to 2 p.m. The events are free.
