Strip Tips: Play some poker, get a job

Caesars Entertainment is recruiting new managers in an unusual way.

From Jan. 18 through Jan. 20, the company will host an MBA Poker Championship and Recruitment Weekend at Planet Hollywood Resort. More than 600 MBA students and business school alumni are expected to play in the tournament.

At the same time, the company will assess the players as potential prospects for Caesars Entertainment's President's Associate Program, a two-year apprenticeship. After finishing the program, participants could be hired in high-level management positions.

Last year, 12 President's Associates were hired at the MBA poker event. Four of them went on to land full-time jobs with Caesars. As with any poker tournament, there is a buy-in, $85 to $225. For more information or to register, check out harrahsmbapoker.com/faqs/.

Tickets are free and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of Hagar's appearance. For more information, call 385-2226, or visit cabowabocantina.com. And remember, the date is always subject to change.
