Watch NASCAR’s Hauler Parade roll down the Strip

Grab your fan gear and head out to the Strip tonight to help welcome NASCAR to town as the popular Hauler Parade makes its way up Las Vegas Boulevard.

The 6 p.m. event kicks off the annual NASCAR weekend, with Stratosphere Pole Day scheduled Friday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The NASCAR Nationwide Series takes center stage Saturday with the Sam's Town 300 at 2 p.m., and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kobalt Tools 400 starts at noon Sunday.

The colorful 18-wheelers that carry the NASCAR race cars and racing equipment to the speedway will parade north on Las Vegas Boulevard about five miles from the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign to Sahara Avenue, where they will enter Interstate 15 and complete the trip to the racetrack. Approximately 50 haulers are expected to participate.
