Overton museum hosts two-woman show

The Lost City Museum will host the exhibit "Pulp, Paper and Paint," featuring artists Bernice Breedlove and Maria Wurtz, as a two-woman show through July.

Breedlove, an Overton resident, has been involved in the arts for many years, serving numerous times as president of the Moapa Valley Art Guild. She is now working with dyed, handmade paper.

Wurtz was born in Chicago and attended the Chicago Art Institute. She eventually moved to the Moapa Valley and has had shows at numerous galleries. Impressionistic portrayals of American Indian subjects are her specialty.

The museum is located on State Route 169 off Interstate 15 in Overton. General admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and free for children 17 and younger. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily.
