99 Words About … The Southern comfort of ‘Hart of Dixie’

Alongside The CW's teenage vampires, werewolves, witches and bitches, the sweet-natured Southern charmer "Hart of Dixie" (9 p.m. Mondays, KVCW-TV, Channel 33) sticks out like a sore thumb.

A thumb Dr. Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson) would jump through hoop skirts to mend.

Banished from New York to impossibly idyllic Bluebell, Ala., she's hell-bent on winning over hostile townsfolk whose entire knowledge of Manhattan seems shaped by HBO.

Most of the genial drama's conflicts feel contrived, though, because Bilson is so would-be-squeezed-to-death-by-Lennie-from-"Of Mice and Men" adorable, locals should be crashing their tractors into each other just to spend a few moments with her.
