Here’s the Foo Fighters’ Letterman tribute your DVR cut off

One of the biggest problems with the Letterman generation is that those of us who grew up in his early days on air are barely awake at 11:35 p.m.
But 12:35 a.m.? What are we, meth addicts?
So plenty of fans no doubt caught the final episode of “Late Show with David Letterman” this morning on their DVRs.
Well, most of it anyway.
Running several minutes long, the episode timed out before one of Letterman’s favorite bands, Foo Fighters, played a six-minute version of, appropriately, “Everlong” to accompany a look back at the comic’s 33 years on late-night TV.
