The insanity of ‘American Horror Story’

There's weird, there's Lady Gaga's Halloween bash, then there's "American Horror Story" (10 p.m. Wednesday, FX).

Co-creator Ryan Murphy might as well have called it
"Whatthe(expletive)isgoingonhere?!?!"

The over-the-top frightfest follows a troubled family, led by Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott, looking to start over -- in a house responsible for more atrocities than the programmers at Bravo.

Creepy twins. Gimp suit. Disturbing housekeeper. Burnt-to-a-crisp ex-resident. Jessica Lange's twisted Southern belle and her spooky daughter who keeps telling the family "You're gonna die."

If this isn't the most insane thing you see this year, may God have mercy on your soul.
